Hi there!

I’m Jonas, a passionate Digital Design student at YRGO with a knack for all things tech. I thrive on learning new software and pushing the boundaries of digital design. My journey so far has equipped me with expertise in Figma and components design systems, and I’ve recently fallen in love with 3D design, especially integrating Spline into websites to add that special touch.

I have a versatile skill set, with my main tools being Figma, Illustrator, and Spline. I also have a strong foundation in Webflow, which allows me to bring my front-end development ideas to life. My curiosity and eagerness to explore new technologies always keep me ahead of the curve.

One of the highlights of this school year was leading the Mareld group project. Taking on a leadership role was incredibly rewarding, especially when our client decided to purchase both the website and our meticulously crafted brand identity guidelines.

About /casual/ me

I'm a proud dad of two little tornadoes aged 4 and 2. Eight years ago, I moved to Gothenburg from Stockholm for what was supposed to be a one-year adventure. Well, that year came and went, and here I am, still loving life in Gothenburg. Sure, I miss being close to the home games in Stockholm, but let's be honest—Gothenburg is unbeatable.

I've spent my entire career in preschools, thinking I'd never leave. But then, during parental leave with my first child, I found a new passion. I created an Instagram account focused on supporter art, and suddenly, I was bitten by the design bug. I loved building my brand and meticulously planning the look of my feed. I even developed merchandise, obsessing over every detail to ensure customers had an exceptional experience—from speedy "support" to chic packaging.

Curious to see if I could make a career out of this newfound passion, I started scouting for courses and stumbled upon YRGO. The high-quality portfolios on the digital designers' page blew me away, so I decided to apply. But life had a twist in store—we found out we were expecting our second child. So, I hit pause on my application and waited until I could fully dedicate myself to the course after my parental leave.

Now, one year later I'm here. Trying to make this dream come true.

Previous experience

Since graduating from high school, I have worked in various roles within preschools. My key strengths have always been being highly present in the children's daily lives and recognizing each child's unique qualities. Over the years, I have significantly developed my skills in digital teaching, which recently culminated in a successful project using iPads and Apple Pencils for digital art creation.

The project began in response to parents' concerns that their children were not engaging enough in analog creative activities. We decided to showcase the extensive possibilities of digital creation, with the goal of gradually incorporating more analog art activities over time. The process was exciting and comprehensive.

We demonstrated to the children how to:
Take a picture with the camera.
Upload the picture into a digital art program.
Record their drawing process on the tablet.
Print the final image.
Display the picture on the wall.
Review the film and the image multiple times.
Use their created picture on a website that turns images into digital puzzles.

This allowed the children to complete puzzles both at home and in preschool, merging digital and analog activities seamlessly. The project was very well received. All the children in the group showed an increased interest in analog creation, and many personalized puzzles were made as a result. This initiative successfully bridged the gap between digital and analog art, fostering creativity in multiple forms.
